In electronic cigarettes, the modes act as the voltage source that powers the atomizers. Mods are available in different designs, differing especially in the number of battery slots and the type of batteries (there are also mods with built-in batteries). The most important parameter, however, is the type according to the construction method.
Non-regulated mods - contain a chip with safety protection elements, but the output power cannot be adjusted. The output is automatically determined by the resistance of the atomizer.
Regulated mods - not only contain chip with advanced safety protection, but also allow the power/voltage to be adjusted via buttons, the heating modes to be changed (not applicable to all modes) and the display interface to be adjusted. However, some tube modes only allows switching between a few preset voltage modes.
Mechanical mods - contain none or almost none electronic chips, completely lacking any protective elements, therefore providing direct contact between the battery and the atomizer. In the case of a hybrid mechanical mods, only atomizers with a raised centerpin can be used with these modes. THESE MODS ARE INTENDED FOR ADVANCED USERS ONLY!
