SX Mini PureMax 2 POD kit 1300 mAh

SXmini decided to introduce a predecessor to the POD portfolio. The manufacturer decided to follow up with the new device and once again it is a unique device that is a bit different from the established concept of POD devices. The parameters, consisting of 35W of power, 1300 mAh battery, USB-C connector, button and cover activation, 0.96" display, draw stiffness regulation and 2ml volume, are already somewhat standard. What makes the PureMax special, however, is that it is perhaps the only POD device to have built-in temperature control (TC). This, although automatic and fixed, prevents high temperatures within the warm-up and to some extent dry-hits.

The body is compact in size and minimalist in appearance. The dimensions are 104 x 27.5 x 19.8 mm. The POD is made of zinc alloy and plastic. On the front you will find a glow button and a 0.96" color TFT display. A slider for adjusting the stiffness of the coating can be found on the left side. The USB-C connector is located on the bottom of the device.

The PureMax 2 features the YiHi SX304J chipset, which allows it to deliver power in the range of 5 - 35 W. Another great feature of the chipset is the built-in temperature control. Apart from keeping the temperature constant, this is also able to prevent dry-hits by alerting the user by vibration and animation on the display when the cartridge needs to be refilled with liquid.

The device's cartridge capacity is 2ml (4ml versions are also available for sale). These are side-filled and offer a mesh coil with 0.6, 0.8 and 1.2 ohm resistances. The cartridges also feature a liquid supply lock, protecting the device from leaking when not in use.

The device has a Li-POL battery with a capacity of 1300 mAh. It can be recharged via the USB-C 5V/2A fast charging connector.
